Shown below is a map of our Emergency Response Area. We primarily service the town of Gateway and the residents of Cactus Park and of the Unaweep Canyon. This area is located in Southern Mesa County approximately an hour from Grand Junction in West-Central Colorado. Most of our work is accomplished along the 55 miles of Colorado Rt 141 that runs through our area. Our elevaions range from 4,500 feet above sea level to over 9,000 feet. Our calls include parts of Utah and we also service Montrose County. The light yellow area is our realistic response area. Blue Xs on this map represent approximate locations of the EMS calls we have attended since January 01, 2004. The Red Xs are fire calls during that same time period. On the average, we respond to one emergency per week. We update this map regularly (last update: May 4, 2004). There are currently 8 "Xs" on this map.
